Brewin was outstanding. - the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful (and you can have laundry done for a small fee!). Breakfast was ample with yogurt, fruit, several types of bread, coffee, tea, several cereals, cheeses, and, if you want - full hot cooked breakfast. T -The room was spacious and lovely. My "queen" bed was, in fact, two twins pushed together. I only used one. The property is lush - although with the weather I had, I wasn't able to enjoy it other than visually. The building is decorated with homey antigues. Charming. -The property is walking distance (one block) from a main street where there is a (smaller) woolworths for grocery shopping. here is a security person at the gate. My only issue was when I checked in - it was late, tehre was load shedding - and the person who checked me in didn't show me the emergency light or other electric related things. (a kind guest walked by - my door open to try to get light, and showed me some of the available work arounds for the electric situation.). I stayed for a full week and would 100% recommend this to anyone.

We picked Brenwin Guest House because it has so much character. We loved the old world European charm, the French doors with leaded glass, the beautiful wood work, the sun streaming through the cozy dining area, the outdoor seating gazebos in a beautiful garden setting, and, of course, our view of the pool. The breakfasts were made to order omelets with lots of fruits, meats, and cheeses, along with cereals and yoghurt. Delicious every day! It was an easy, straightforward, safe walk to the Virginia and Alfred Waterfront. A security guard opened the gated area when we first arrived late at night before we received our own key. The guesthouse neighborhood is so quiet that we had a good night's sleep every night in a very comfortable bed. And the small staff--both in reception and in the kitchen--is lovely. They answered our every question, helped us with Uber, and even prepared breakfast early for us on our all-day tour. I would highly recommend this guesthouse over a sterile, uniform hotel room.

I was looking for accommodation near V&A Waterfront. Brenwin is approximately a 15 min very safe easy walk to the Waterfront with a small, well-supplied supermarket and eating places at the end of the street. All the staff were fabulous. They couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. I went to Heather (Reception) with a list of questions about my stay in Cafe Town, even how to tie a scarf on my head and Heather came through. Thanks Heather. A home away from home and provided scales to weigh my luggage. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The breakfast selection was superb - cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts every morning. Followed by a selection of cooked breakfast choices and coffee and tea. The location was lovely and safe: Near enough to the V&A waterfront for all our needs but not too far to take an uber back at night time. Our room was lovely and clean and the beds very comfortable. The gardens were beautifully maintained and the pool area was lovely - if not a little cold! Roger and Heather in reception were really friendly and helpful.

A great location, with an easy walk to the waterfront, but also a great range of local bars and restaurants just down the hill 200 yards. The hotel is very quiet with great staff. Comfy bed and the shower had lots of hot water. Parking on the street was easy and the overnight security chap kept an eye on it. This was our first trip to the Cape, we will definitely be returning and staying at Brenwin.
